Acupuncture

Acupuncture originated in ancient China and has been in use for well over 2000 years.  In practice, it is the insertion of thin needles into the body in order to affect the body's functioning.  In Chinese medicine, the health of the body depends on the free movement of qi, or life force.  Qi normally flows along pathways of the body known as channels.  When the movement of qi in the channels is obstructed or otherwise abnormal, pain or disease results.

Acupuncture needles are inserted into specific points along the channels in order to regulate the flow of qi, thus relieve the pain or symptoms of disease.  Acupuncture is commonly used to treat a variety of conditions including:

  • Back, neck, shoulder, hip, and knee pain

  • Whiplash/Auto injuries

  • Sports injuries

  • Arthritis

  • Sciatica

  • High blood pressure

  • Depression

  • Stress/anxiety

  • Asthma

  • Allergies

  • Chronic fatigue syndrome

  • Common cold and flu

  • Addiction, including smoking

  • Irritable bowel syndrome

  • Headaches/migraines

  • Chronic insomnia

  • Gynecological disorders

  • Immune disorders

  • and many others...

Cosmetic Acupuncture  Improve the appearance of your skin naturally!
Tiny acupuncture needles, placed in the shallow layers of the skin, cause "micro-traumas" in the skin.  The body responds to these micro-traumas by activating the wound healing process, thus increasing the production of collagen and elastin, resulting in improved skin tone, elasticity, and lift.
